Local Server issue

Recommended Posts

I tried looking through 20 pages of info and I couldn't find the answer.  I started my own local server using DayZ server in steam and it launches just fine, the issue im having is once im in game I can pick up items but when I open my inventory im unable to interact with anything.  When I join a public server it works just fine. Please note I had hundreds of hours in DayZ Mod before the standalone but quit playing and I really want to get back into it, just playing solo.

Never mind. I died and when I respawned it was working perfectly,  weird.

There's definitely some lingering bugs that have not been fixed.  Hand state issues (i.e. things stuck in your hands) and inventory issues as you've described -- sometimes you are just forced to relog and most of the time, when you log back in, whatever bug is happening is resolved.  Try that next time.

I tried logging out and in 4 or 5 times and nothing changed.  My original thought was I screwed up making my local server. A lot has changed since it was a mod of Arma 3

So I have solved the issue! It happened on accident,  I started my server and it opened in a windowed view. Also I could not interact with my inventory.  After setting it to full screen I could access my inventory.  Today I logged on and I could not interact with my inventory,  I was already in full screen,  but went into the menu and selected it again and was able to use my inventory.
