It’s definitely true what they say.  If your not looking for something you’ll find loads and if you’re looking for something you won’t find any.  Started building a base and can’t find nails anywhere !! 😳

I feel your pain. Took me over 2 weeks to find a stove burner for a propane tank when i needed one. Just tell yourself you need to find a pickaxe and look where they spawn and i bet you'll find some nails.

Non Persistent servers are a good place to find them....because putting buildings in a server that could shut down anytime without notice is a bad idea....compared to stashing weapons in them that takes little resources and is generally easy to get to and move out if a shutdown is imminent.

I think they've reduced nails spawn with 1.08, I cant confirm but feels like there rarer especially up north, makes sense as they want to discourage people stashing in crates & they've increase nail cost for those too.
