Ive Just bought the game and i cannot play it due to my soundcard.

Recommended Posts

i bought the game today and tried to play it, it kept freezing everytime i loaded the game within 2 seconds and i had to reset the pc.

so i looked online and found out it can be the soundcard, reinstall the driver

so i uninstalled the driver, and out of interest tried to load it up, and it  worked 100% fine with no issues BUT NO SOUND!!

reinstalled the driver, and back to the 2 second crash restart whole computer

does anyone know how i can solve this its drving me up the wall

asus essence stx ii   is my graphics cardm, and have the latest version of the driver

On this ticket, I wrote instructions when there is no sound in the game or the microphone does not work - where and how to configure the sound system devices.

1. Does your PC use Windows 10?
2. You have installed the latest version of Audio driver for Windows 10 ver. 8.1.11.5 and Audio Center version: 0.3.1.11?
3. What speaker system do you connect to Essence STX II, speakers 7.1 \ 2.1 \ 2.0 or headphones 7.1 \ 2.1 \ 2.0? Connection Setting Option * Analog or Digital?
4. In the Windows 10 settings - 'app volume and device preferences', for the DayZ game, Essence STX II sound devices are defined as * Analog or Digital?
5. Have you tried, in the compatibility properties on ASUS Audio Center, to launch - assign a launch as administrator?
6. Did you try to disable the integrated sound device of the motherboard in the BIOS of the motherboard?

The path to the settings is written on this ticket.

https://feedback.bistudio.com/T150985

hi if you mean this:

When the game is running, minimize the game to the taskbar:

right-click on the speaker in the taskbar

select "open sound options"

follow the section "device settings and application volume"

select a DayZ game, assign audio input and output devices for the DayZ game

expand the game window, exit the game, restart the game.

I cant do this because the minute it loads to the menu screen the whole thing freezes  my pc freezes nothing works i have to turn the pc off and on at the wall. i cant even get that far :(  about 1 in 20 times it lets me get further if i caN  il try it.
