To the admin of US 138(not seattle), why change the max ping to 200? :(

I'm typing this here, hoping you'll see it, I guess.

I've spent so long looking for a good server, and countless hours building a camp on that server, your server.

I believe me and my friends have spent more than 70 hours together on your server, building an arsenal and maintaining our camp.

As we were playing today, the server restarted, and it appears as though you've set the max ping at 200 or less.. So we can no longer play on your server.

Our stuff is just sitting there, and we cannot get to it.

You seem like a great admin from what I've seen so far, just hoping you might be willing to raise it a little bit, to maybe 250 or even 300.

Does 200 ping strain the server that much?

Hello Cooto3s, I am one of the admins from the server US 138 (Not Seattle) I appreciate your kind words of the way we run the server, and we do try to interact as much as we can with the players on our server and try to fix any problems that may occur.

As far as the ping limitation yes this was implemented in one of the most recent restarts of the server, it was limited to 150MS, reason being was not because of strain of the server are server is probably in the top 1% of best servers connection wise we are on a 10gig Line, reason was to keep the server more localized then globally available to people.

I will talk to the other main admin and we will probably ( 95% ) increase the ping limit as we aim to give the best service to our players especially are frequent players like your self.

(P.S) The server was restarted multiple times today as we as admin play with a group of people, and our items had disappeared from all our tents and we was trying to sort it out unfortunately we was unable to resolve the problem of the lost items but we are confident we have fixed the problem for the future. I hope your camp did not have the same fate as ours!!

Our modifications are part of an ongoing attempt to keep the server running as well as possible for the players as well as limit connections that may experience lag and rubberbanding on the client end. I will increase the limit to 210 (it was set to 150 during test). This will not take effect until next scheduled restart (3am. EST). I will monitor this thread. let Gary or me know if you can connect and the result. Thank you.

Thank you very much guys, I really appreciate you taking us into consideration atleast.

I just joined in, and my ping was at 210 actually. I got kicked a little later, with the error saying I had 249 ping.

I usually play on US servers myself, even though I'm from Europe. Most of the servers seem to run much smoother when it comes to fps lag. The higher ping never bothered me in this game/mod, never had rubberbanding either really (Unless you mean other players might see us rubberbanding?)

Thank you Permphrost and Orphen your words put a smile on my face, we only have a couple of admins at US138 and we do try our best! My Philosophy is if we work hard and try the best out of game then hopefully only good results will happen in game for our players and our selves because at the end of the day we are #1 players firstly and we want the game to be enjoyable for ourselves and everyone that connects to our server. Our aim is to have one of the most "Enjoyable" servers stability wise and player wise.

Update for Cooto3s : We will be increasing the ping of the server further more so you should have no problems connecting this will be done ASAP, so you and your friends can enjoy playing!
