Collapsing Car Tent?

I can not for the life of me break down this car tent to take out of the forest. It’s empty and I cant get the hud to take down. I have had no problems when I found one in the past, am I missing something?

Is this an instance where the back pack needs to be taken off to pack the car tent?

Sometimes some tents just get bugged and the prompt to take them down doesn't appear. I've come across a few that wont lower at all. Months on, they're still there.

As long as the tent storage is empty, it should be possible to take it down unless its bugged.
