supernick 33 Posted October 30, 2019 hi survivors, help me improving my sniper skills. 1) best sniper weapons are: tundra (best zoom magnification) vsd (best arrest power, i read, never seen it), agree? disagree? 2) when aiming someone you put the center of the scope on head/heart (with hunter scope for example) or the body, or little over body? i ask 'cause sometime from roof and 150-200 meter i hit enemy but don't kill him neither put him in shock status), as you know first shot is most crucial, if i failed he logout/or hide 3) usually i prefer high places so i can't be tracked or discovered, but since yesterday i hide in bush or palace and shot on straight line, my thoughts is doing that chances of oneshot are bigger? etaab 70 Posted October 30, 2019 1. I've never had a VSD in a public server as they're all duped, but I love the M70 Tundra. The ammo is really easy to find, the gun has a 12x magnification when combined with a hunting scope. The shots usually kill instantly. 2. I always make sure I zero in on the distance. So using a range finder, if they're 250m away i set my scope to 200m. I never over zero, otherwise the bullet is likely to go over their head. If they're close, around 300m away or less I will aim for the head. Any further and will aim for the best as it's a bigger target. After they're down, I often put another round in them to ensure they don't get back up. The .308 Winchester round is large enough to kill anything. 3. Where you choose to snipe from has little effect on the result in my opinion. For me, a good position is one where I'm safe from someone creeping up on me, I'm hard to see and when I do shoot, zombies aren't going to get at me and other players find it hard to guess my location. After a kill, i always move on to another location once I'm satisfied I'm not compromised. I've hidden in the middle of fields, in trees, bushes, even inside buildings with tiny windows to see out of from great distance. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

etaab 70 Posted October 31, 2019 Well, I rarely run into other players at night as many leave the server, so I don't worry about sniping at night. I do however use the AK-M with a 1PN51 scope, which is a night vision scope with 3.5x magnification. If I need to shoot someone far, I use that at night. EzyStriderPS4 191 Posted November 4, 2019 (edited) Always aim for center-mass of the torso, unless you can guarantee a head shot from an exact distance with zeroed scope (+/- 10m) out to 300m. Anything more than 315-325m, always center-mass (unless you play on a flippin projector). Use a range finder. Steady your shot by holding breath, no exceptions. Get some experience by picking off infected at different distances, because this practice will help you hone in on how much higher/lower you need to aim for the in-between distances, like 443m. I find that it is easier for me to aim above a target at 270m while zeroed to 200m, instead of zeroing to 300m and aiming lower than my target, this is strictly personal preference. I have noticed that high winds will lead your ballistics laterally. The amount will change as distance to target increases.
