supernick 33 Posted October 17, 2019 yesterday for the first time discovered an heli crash site, that of smoked one. Found a ka-m , Mount my attachment, scope with nvg, all ok, but when i tried to put a magazine in it , doesn't fit. the weapon doesn't spawn with magazine but i can't put on, i tried several ways for 25 minutes, no chance. when i have in hands and put magazine on ground regular "loading option" appear, but it is stuck. can you help me please??? it is my first assault rifle and don't want to give up (many kas 74u of course) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Kean__1 144 Posted October 17, 2019 This is one of several persistent bugs this game has. Just be glad this didn't happen while you were in a firefight. Weapons will glitch sometimes and other times its just the magazine. I would try logging in and out to see if that helps. Sometimes the weapon will simply be rendered useless and will need to be ditched. ....or other times I've seen them come back to life after a while. I haven't found a method to remedy this glitch that is 100%garaunteed. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
etaab 70 Posted October 17, 2019 Are you definitely sure it was the correct magazine? It might be worth checking the Dayz wiki page. Is the weapon dirty ? It may need cleaning with a cleaning kit or duct tape. I've never found a gun that has the gun mag glitch. I'd suggest maybe someone got there before you and replaced their rifle with a glitched one. To avoid the gun mag glitch, ensure your mags are full and load them into the gun when in the inventory screen by equipping the gun to your hands, then highlighting the mag and pressing circle to equip it. This stops the gun mag glitch in 100% of my group's testing. We only reload guns when in a fire fight with other players by holding triangle. Only then is the risk of the mag becoming stuck in the gun outweighs the risk of dying and losing your progress. generalmayhem 29 Posted October 18, 2019 Never found a KA-M before and then found three today. Of course I left two for others but found some mags and all attached to gun and gun worked fine. Just a shame it was to kill Zombies before they over ran me. All on official server 4466 so happy days and found my old character back as well who disappeared when the servers were restarted. Just need to find some players. Thirty on the server but could not find one player or heard any shots. Since then, I try not to add components that I don't feel are necessary just in case that might be part of the problem. I might test this myself on a sidearm or other weapon that I don't rely on heavily so I can be sure I only reload using the combine option. Either way, this is something they really need to address including the problem where magazines themselves will no longer feed ammo and become glitched. ......or no longer being able to interact with items like trying to repair/maintain equipment with tape, cleaning kit, sewing kit, etc. .....opening cans with a knife, opener, etc. At least in those last two examples a relog usually resolves it but having to do that several times in a session gets old really fast. I can only assume it's the server you guys are using. A lot of these bugs I get too, but they're rare and I usually only have to relog once per 4 - 5 hour session, or sometimes not at all.
