character creation screen

- i cannot edit my main character, once game started my old face comes back

- i checked with my friend, he died and regenerated a character, change face with editor, but when the game starts, he has old regeneration face

????? how does it work????

From my experience I think when you re spawn it changes your character so for some reason, you have to back out to main menu. Another broken part of the game!!

I might be wrong though

If your current character is alive, it will not change in game until your character dies.  Did I understand you correctly? So stash and suicide, or keep on truckin'!

Correct. It only works following you respawning.

To be honest the character creation option wasnt necessary. Just like the change in bleeding, dead bodies and flies, not being able to pick your character was part of the Dayz experience and for me is what keeps a fresh spawn, umm fresh.

Character creation is moving away from the original Dayz experience, imho of course.

thanks, indeed you correct, main character cannot be edited, regenerate character too.

for fix editor you have to die, choose exit game then it will work.

Gotta say I'm anal retentive with stuff.  I was lining the shores with suicided corpses trying to spawn in the character model I wanted!

That hasn't been my experience. I was able to change my characters through the main screen and it applied to them when I logged in.

EDIT: Nevermind....  I'm wrong.
