ID cards - to try and learn other players motives

Recommended Posts

How about every player having a personal "ID card" that holds some stats unique to that player?

Like the debug panel it could hold murders, bandit kills, zed kills, blood given etc.

When you come across a new player and are trying to learn their intentions, you could request he/she show you their ID card.

Of course wether or not the player decides to display it to you should be entirely up to them.

It could also be a collectible item, like dogtags, that bandits or anyone could loot from others they have killed...

I would rather see the integration of "DOG" tags to the corpse. After killing a player and looting their dog tags you could see if he was a good one and feel bad or a bad one and feel good.

:D

At the risk of self aggrandizing, I think my suggestion for a player-driven ID system is ideal.

It relies on the player, not the game, to observe behaviors and make judgements. Only information you personally witness is available to you. An authentic and immersive way to gather and categorize information about your friends and enemies.
