Crash after a certain time.

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Ive been playing dayz since its release. Gathered around 2k hours before i stopped playing after i got bored by the lack of development. However recently i really liked how things are going on and i started following the updates on the news feed. Ive tried multiple times to play them but i always got the same problem, i decided its because of the game itself but now im not so certain.

My problem is this, i start the game i create a character i log into any public open server with no mods, and i start playing, everything fine so far untill 10-15 mins later the game just decided to crash and it goes off without saying anything or a crash report.

What can this be from and how can i fix it.

Have you checked in the Windows Event Viewer for any entries in the Application or System logs in there?  It might yield a clue as to the cause of the crash.

How can i do that ?

And if it matters im running windows 7 not 10.

In your search box in the lower-left, type the word event and then click on Event Viewer in the results.  In the window that opens after that, expand the section on the left called Windows Logs.  You show see several categories -- look in the Application and System logs around the crash time to see if Windows is logging anything about it.

If you can't remember when it happened last exactly, play the game first and note the time on your PC when DayZ crashes so you can go to that time in the logs.
