Log file seems incomplete?

Recommended Posts

Several people in my server have mentioned the log files logging interactions with base building components, like destruction of said components, as well as interactions with stashes. My log file only logs when someone logs in our out, and when someone takes or deals damage to a player. Am I missing something here? Without access to the configuration file for weapon spawns, I have to have someway to enforce rules against weapon hoarding. Because of how flawed the CLE system for top tier weapons is, it doesn't take long for a handful of people to outright halt the spawn of military firearms.

Seriously, they gave us private servers which is cool but the administrative side is sorely lacking.

The log files are so dense and hard to read its almost insulting that this is what we have to deal with. I personally know someone who had to hire a programmer that built an app for him to export the log file into just to make it easier to read.

There is no whitelisting, no way to enforce safe zones, basically no way to enforce any rules.

People wanted private servers in order to have an experience other than what is available on public servers.

With no way to properly control ones own server wtf is point in having one?

Gaffe after gaffe with this dev team, I wish they would have experimental or test servers for the playerbase so we could help them eliminate alot of these problems before they make it into full release.

But that would make sense.

Its painful to watch so many squandered opportunities, sooner or later they will alienate every portion of their playerbase.
