Is going to iron sights straight from 3rd person the same as from 1st person?

I remember reading somewhere a while back that if you go back to first person, THEN aim down the sights, that it is more accurate. Just wanted to confirm/bust this

Its the same.

I've played since the original OFP and Ive heard this but usually its because the person misunderstands the iron sight.

They go from 3rd person to first and use crosshairs and dont understand that isnt the actual iron sight view.

In any case 1st person or 3rd renders the same results.

i think going in from 1st person is faster
