Unable to pick up bags

I see in the most recent patch notes for 1.04 that the Infected now spawn with different items.  So far, I have killed 2 Z's carrying hiking bags but have been unable to pick them up for myself.  Any one else having trouble with this or found a solution?

Its a bit bugged for now, but it is possible.

Stand over the zombie so you can see it in the inventory, choose the bag (or whatever you want to take off it) and hold a, then transfer it to your hands with RB.

That should do it. 🙂
