Dayz Launcher Uninstalled my mods

Recommended Posts

My god Bohemia please fix your game Launchers because i'm tired of opening my Dayz/Arma3 launcher and having to reinstall all my mods all day just so i can play for an hour. This has happened multiple times making this time the 5th. FIX YOUR LAUNCHERS. STOP UNINSTALLING MY MODS PLEASE THANKS. I'm so much more heated than i'm trying to appear because this is so annoying especially when this happens constantly. The first time this happened to me was because i "closed my computer the wrong way". Then after waiting alllllllll dayyy my mods finally finished up but then something else corrupted thus reinstalling all my mods when i didn't have space on my computer and i had all the mods in the first place. This time i didn't even close my computer i left on but now not only are alllll my arma 3 mods uninstalled my Dayz mods are aswell. NOT HAPPY IM PRETTY PISSED! Like maybe the first time this happened was my fault but i didn't do anything but exit steam this time. WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME??? LET  ME PLAY YOUR GAMEEEEEEEEEEE!

if the DayZ launcher checks and replaces files before launching the game, don't use it

Keep clean backups of all your modded files

Do this WHATEVER launcher you use

then all you have to do to for any problem is drop the whole bunch of clean files back into place

So - it's good to have :

             1) clean fresh backups of your 100% already tested working mods

             2) Full set of the mod files you are messing with now and dropping into the game to try out

             3) Copy of the files you have live the game as they are ATM art the start of a modding session

AND these 3 folders are separate from the active game files themselves, natch

Little bit of STEADY organisation - plus regular bookkeeping & systematic updating saves a LOT of work .. believe me .. nah, I mean MORE work than that.. Really a LOT

I know a dude kept having 3 beers and a smoke before messing with his game  I swear, every time I called him to see how he was doing , every week,  he was .. reinstalling windows ?

.. again ?
