Tekkart 7 Posted July 31, 2019 (edited) First I wanna thank you guys for bringing us the DayZ experience to our consoles we like.But atm it feels more like a DayZ light because it's so different from what I see on PC. So here are some questions and I hope I can get some answers from a Dev or someone who is involved in the project DayZ on Console. *Why do we have a different inventory than PC? Deus Ex is showing that a Inventory like its on PC can work on Console. Sure not exactly the same but I wanna play inventory Tetris😊 *Why can't we map the controls like we want? Elite Dangerous shows that it's possible to do this, very complex with hundrets of combinations. *Are we getting a volume fade in/out for the Voip/Von? *Can we have more options/slider for deadzones, ads, free look etc.?! *Is the free look while ads coming back? It was in the game in 0.63. It could be done with a new control layout. *Are we able to walk with the Inventory open in the future? *why do we need to hold LT to lean? Could be changed with a different control layout. *why is the character performing a step left/right when we try to wiggle with no weapon? Could be done to map the steps to double push left/right with LS(left stick) and it would make more sense because the stick is for the movement. *Could we have a favorite gesture? Like open the gesture menu and in the middle of the wheel is the favorite so we can just open it and hit A instead of searching the right gesture. It would make it easier to say hello for example. I would love to help you guys to make the game great on console and bring it close as possible to the PC in terms of controls and ideas how inventory and the UI could work. Thats it for the moment, thank you for taking your time to read this. If DayZ implements any mechanic and it shares similarities with mechanics added in other games that have been tried & tested to perfection. They instead implement a completely different system that is completely unique & always far worse for the sake of originality over functionality. Like the lean system being added to LB/RB instead of thumbstick push like on PUBG or R6Siege where its been proven over time by users to be superior. Also the community has asked for the ability to Map there own keys for a year now to no avail. they've also asked for sensitivity sliders for free look, general movement, TPP, FPP & all scope sizes to no avail. I could go on but i think you get the picture by now, basically everything you've written is 100% correct & forward thinking, in fact I'd argue its all very simple modern console gaming standards that most games companies would automatically follow & aspire to for there products. Playing DayZ on Xbox since I got an alpha code before game preview and watching the forum since then. I just wanna ask these questions without any hate speech or Rants between the lines😉I know all my questions are asked by others before(like button mapping, they said in one stream its not possible but elite dangerous shows its possible and I try to say that because other complex games can do it😅) but keeping those questions up to date could maybe, just maybe have an impact to someone at BI. Think about this: hold RB for free look, hold LB for zoom in/out(older build you had to hold the zoom button) , tap RB for open/close quick wheel, tap LB for open/close gesture menu, only in ads hold LB for holding breath, Click RS/LS for lean left right, Click RS/LS together for switching shoulders in 3pp, only with a weapon in hand hold d-pad right and use RS up/down for zeroing from 0-1000, tap d-pad right only with weapon in hand for switching fire mode, only ads tap d-pad right for iron sight to scope and back, only scopes hold d-pad left plus RS up/down zoom in/out, hold back button to hide HUD, tap back to open inventory, hold start to open chat,only with weapon in hand tap Y to reload hold Y for unload, double tap Y for switching between your last two used items from the quick wheel, etc. Same for the Inventory, with the original from the Pc it could be so much better and would be less work if cross play with Pc would be a thing in the future.... The Community got so many great ideas, just copy controls would not be the right way. I think we as a Community should give them good ideas for a unique layout instead of just saying copy game XY.
