Vehicle Desync. What causes it?

The Olga (and probably all vehicles), seem to suffer from desync when approaching building/towns.

What happens is the game basically freezes, sometimes it stutters and I can get on the brake quick enough to avoid anything too serious. While I'm frozen and can't control anything, my car and occupants are coasting onward.

It seems to me that the game is trying to load every detail, and while travelling at 30 or more km/h it's too much and causes as desync/lag/freezing episode.

Would it be possible to tell the game to not load/render loot or building interiors and perhaps even dial down textures. Only while driving.

Cars are a glorious achievement I would love to see them working a little better.

That is the explanation I've come to myself.

I am playing on Xbox where we can't control any of the graphics, and while driving on the roads _between_ the towns I can push it all the way up to 100 km/h without lagging out, but as soon as I enter a medium-sized city with above 30-40-50 km/h I lag out for 10-20 seconds and can do nothing but push the brakes (which usually does nothing as the game ain't accepting inputs after the lag-out) and hope for the best situation possible.

I've lost several cars and a couple of passengers this way.

It seems like the game cant handle loading all the assets from the medium/bigger towns fast enough when you are approaching them at a solid speed and then simply "freezes" (no inputs work and you got no frames at all, but the game goes on and can kill you in the meantime) and does not let you do anything until it has caught up.

I am pretty sure its servers-side, and not client-side or dependent on your internet-connection.

So this is a simple case of the current consoles CPU's being to slow to figure out what to load and load it before traveling to far causing it to attempt to load more while also figure out what to deload to free up RAM. So your game freezes but cars (sometimes?) have server side physics so you continue as if nothing happened.

To the server we all just look like bad drivers lol

Good news is it should be pretty easy to optimise the towns/city's just cull things behind the player earlier and load things in an order where smaller/important tasks are completed first and load secondary objects/interiors when appropriate.

Im pretty confident with the team to optimise the game. There's already so much tricks that you dont notice. Like when in a building the game knows you can't see outside and culls almost everything out there.

Some devs *cough bluehole are hopeless, I saw a comment  joke about rendering players at full detail through hills/buildings, and then the patch notes said they no longer do it that way. Like serious? We were joking and devs be like "hey that's a good idea"

try to play driving in first person, this problem happens more often in third person.
In the update will fix this
