drgullen 596 Posted June 17, 2019 I don't know how the servers work on consoles, but on PC, buried loot is dependent on having valid persistence files. I was running a server for a bit and I had buried some treasure when my server first went up and was giving clues to where it was in the server messages. A month later, nobody had found it yet and I checked and it was still there. In my case, I was backing up the persistence files regularly and restoring them if any server crash occurred. So, if it works the same on consoles, the result should also be the same -- buried loot should stay buried as long as the persistence remains intact and the server doesn't crash a lot or get wiped due to an update.
