How do they work?

1. Is there a way to set a specific lock combination?
2. What types of doors/ fences do they work on?
3. Are they permanent in the persistence on servers?
4. Can they get destroyed by any tools or bullets?

I’m not entirely sure but I will explain what I do know, you must set it while it is on the fence I believe and it only works on gates you’ve built from nails and planks etc, they are as permanent as they can be but I believe this game has persistence issues with building to begin with, and I’ve heared that buildings can be broken into but haven’t seen anything that could be used to raid yet. Hope this helps.

What would stop someone from just changing server, moving to the location (inside of the base) and then changing back to the original server?

Nothing, until character locked or private servers exist that can/will happen. Use a stash (barrel/seachest/buried drybag) bases are not useful for anything other than advertising free loot

That's a shame. This game has so much wasted potential. I love the idea of making a base
