Mexican stand-off

So im in Electro, im looting a house when i hear a bunch of agro zombies, i go to investigate & meet a geared player whos in a stand off with a player locked in a house, the guy in the house was the only one speaking. The geared guy didn't seem to want to kill me so i kept my distance just incase. The geared player goes to church cliff to get an angle through the back windows, i start talking to this guy in the house as me and some freshspawn loot a geared body outside the front door. I let the guy inside know im looting the body, then bang he shoots through the door fucking me straight up, but i was still standing and forgave him as i understood his situation. After a few minuites watching from the house across the street, assuring him i was friendly and calling out the movement of the geared player, he ends up fully trusting me enough to let me in to give him some ammo he was low on.  We trade some things, i give him ammo he needs, he gives me ammo i need, we converse about our plans then i give him my gtag.. Turns out we played in a 5 man squad together like a few months ago, we both remembered eachother. Coolest feeling ever, it felt like we knew eachother before the apocolypse, and found eachother in this uncomfortable stand off situation where we managed to trust eachother and find out we actually knew eachother... Straight out of a movie.

What are the odds? Never mind running into the same person twice, but to take fire and still talk it out... Good stuff right there.

Ya, we both made it clear that we wanted to trust eachother from the beginning but it was hard due to past experiences & the current situation. Definitely a Dayz moment that i wont forget. I love how your voice can be such a powerful tool, what other game gives players the option to negotiate with death? Its a real life skill too, i cant think of any games that use skills directly from the real world.
