stoobism 0 Posted July 5, 2012 So DayZ is in my top 5 of video games (due to it's need to think plans through). But I have one small problem: loot is ridiculous. I mean it takes you ages to find a water bottle, when EVERY house should have one. I know it is an apocalypse and everything is looted already (not to mention that the apocalypse has probably been going on for days, even months). Guns are rare, but I always find them at the airport, which is ok. But when it takes you 40 minutes to find a WATER BOTTLE? Really? Same with matches and cars. There should be more vehicles in the game. Let's be honest, in any 225 square kilometre area, there shouldn't be 10 vehicles. I'm not asking Rocket to change this, it just seems a bit unrealistic. stoobism 0 Posted July 5, 2012 I'm not desperate for loot, it's just that when I begin dying because I don't have a household item (a water bottle, COME ON!). I begin to rage.

pgord 0 Posted July 5, 2012 You can find softdrink/food in a very large variety of buildings. You don't 100% need a water bottle.

stoobism 0 Posted July 5, 2012 Fare enough. I admit my mistakes.BUT WHAT ABOUT CARS, GODDAMMIT! There are a SERIOUS lack of vehicles in the game. And it takes a team to repair a car...
MeatAbstract 47 Posted July 5, 2012 Because then people would just be joyriding everywhere. It takes time for you to build up your equipment and putting a car together takes time.Plus I know people say the game goes for realism but it's a still a game and unrealistic stuff will happen. Like the dead walking the earth, for example.
thywolf@live.ca 3 Posted July 5, 2012 not able to fill a whiskey bottle with water, everyone is a serial killer with little to no moral values and I can sprint full out for hours on end this game is truely realism at it's best :v
ruecanonrails 24 Posted July 5, 2012 There are TONS of vehicles in this game, only a few handful are operational all others are destroyed beyond repair.Walk through the towns and open your eyes.. Everything is destroyed and has been raided. This game takes place in a POST apocalyptic zombie world.Finding the bare necessities should be difficult you have to assume people have already been through that town and taken whatever they needed and continued on. You're sorting through their tossed aside crap.... It's why we are surviving on cans of beans and not cans of chicken! all the good shit is gone.
eegore 23 Posted July 5, 2012 40 minutes? I think 4 hours of searching for something might be average if the world went to $hit. Plus that water bottle is a military canteen, find one of those laying around your town in less than 40 minutes.
