NVG + Any Scope = Pitch Black Screen

As the title says, I cant seem to use a sniper scope (AS50 or binoculars) with the night vision activated. My friends tell me that their NVGs work perfectly.

I verified my files and reinstalled the current beta and @DayZ files, the only difference between my character and my friends is that my character uses the Female model. Could this be the reason why?

To be clear--> I put on night vision, I zoom in with scope, night vision in scope is off (same with binoculars), after I zoom out, NV returns.

I think the only sniper scope you can use with NVGs are the DMR's. I don't even know why, but you can for some reason. NVGs are not really built for aiming through scopes, but in ArmA you can use NVGs with iron sight, CCO sights and the DMR sight. I think IRL you don't use sights with NVGs, you turn on your laser pointers, point your beam at your target and fire.

You can also use NVG's with the m16 with acog scope and you should be able to use them with binoculars(considering realism it shouldnt work, but it works when i use Bino's)..

IRL, you can use different types of optics/sigth's with NVG's as long as the optics have a NVG mode so the light in the optics dont get too bright.

Pending approval...I mostly just posted this here to see if anyone else has had this issue. It would seem that there's either something wonky with my files, or it really is the fact that my char model is female.

I guess I'll just creeper on people until I'm able to shoot at them :)

Fixing this would be ideal. People shouldn't be able to just use NVGs for everything. Driving? Yeah. Walking around? Sure. Long distance detection? I don't think so. Aiming through as scope? Fuck no. Iron sights? I would think that the goggles would get in the way and the focusing would be compromised.

Adding batteries and fixing the goggles to work more realistically would be better.
