Player disappeared with handcuffs on.

Playing on "The High Life" community server. I try to get some basic weaponry and rob people as it can be quite interesting...

Anyway I caught this guy, handcuffed him and ordered him into the police station, he was walking up the stairs, while talking in voice, and just disappeared! No logout sitting down animation or anything, he was moving and talking with handcuffs on and just POOF! gone!

It's really irritating because that was my only set of handcuffs! What the heck!? Does anyone know how this is done?
