So how do you add things inside the storage of your vehicle?

With the Micro management.  Hold the item  with holding A and then drag it over to car an press LT to get down to the vehicle storage

nice to see someone helping out a new player, this method for micromanagement can also be used within your own inventory to move objects to wherever you like from on clothing container to another (currently its bugged so you can only scroll down whilst holding A, but if you scroll past the bottom of any inventory you will return to the top)
