Car Protection

So I've recently acquired a vehicle and driven it to my hidden base. I wanted to get some ideas on how people protect their car from theft.

I've stripped the car and hidden the content and I'm hoping the car is well hidden as well. I just wanted to see what people are doing to keep their baby safe.

If I have the time I join a different server and position a barrel near the spot I'm stashing it and dump some parts in it and log off with the rest in my inventory/hands. Also I think someone on here wrote the car will still run when its out of gas, you just won't be able to start it again if it shuts off. Could run it out of fuel and have a couple full jerrys stashed ready to go or fill a barrel with gas (I think haven't tried this yet.)
