I don't think people understand Steam Workshop

Recommended Posts

I've seen many "mods" being put on the Steam Workshop for DayZ SA that are simply repacks of other mods that people put together for their server. Do people not understand what a Collection is? Sometimes I'll download these "mods" that they are putting on Workshop for specific servers, and I find PBO's for other mods that have been released on Workshop. Most of the time these server specific "mods" don't contain anything original.

This is a list of collections: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=221100&browsesort=trend&section=collections

A collection has links to several mods used by a server.

Of course, if you just used DZSALauncher, you wouldn't need Collections because you'd download all the mods you need simply by clicking on the connect button.

Some people don't know and most don't care.

If you're in Discord, it's good to post those in #ip_rights_violations if you know that those mods don't have permission to reupload some .pbo's
