So i bought Arma II:CO yesterday and installed DayZ. Am I supposed to spawn with a map? Because I've watched videos, and they appear to spawn with a map. I don't have one, and have no clue where I'm going. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You dont spawn with a map, you have to find one.

no you do not spawn with a map.You have to find one unfortunately.

If you want to know where you're going...after you login to a server at the bottom right corner you can see the location you are right now.After that you can use the beach and specific points like lighthouses/towers/powerlines/castles to find your way.

Supermarkets, churches and houses have the best chances for spawning maps i think
