devilswings5 6 Posted July 4, 2012 Ok so from what i have read heli crash sites are very rare i dont know what the spawn rate is but yesterday me and my friend found 6 on the same server with in about 3 -5 miles of each other i play on us 30 Colorado1 im just curious if they patched helis crash sites to spawn more or if someone on the server is tweaking it in their favor like i said from what ive read they are rare Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

tilt (DayZ) 0 Posted July 5, 2012 I went about 80 hours of game play without seeing a single one. Then about 4-5 nights ago me and a friend were running around and saw a fire in the distance, we go up to it and its a chopper. Over the next 2 days we found 5 on one server. Luck plays a HUGE part in these.The best part is that my friend was screwing around and got killed with his brand new Bizon SD with 3 clips. The next spawn? He finds a dead player within 10 minutes of starting and gets another Bizon SD with 4 clips. We'd never seen one of the Heli guns before, and now we see dead players near the beach with them!So maybe the spawn rate went up with no patch note? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Jaleno 4 Posted July 7, 2012 The spawn requirements for a heli-crash is decently strict, so it is not uncommon to find a lot in close proximity to each other. I found 6 the other day in a zig-zag line about 2km long. Just be happy you got lucky :D Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

spuddels 12 Posted July 7, 2012 back when they were fixed i found three in the large field around devils castle, polana is a very common spawn location for them as well the field east of the NWAF.
