What is the sound output on DayZ on Xbox? 

I have a 7.2 surround sound system running through a Yamaha receiver. Is there an appropriate setting that utilizes all channels correctly for directional bearing? What is DayZ’s sound capability? 

It seems to top at 5.1 but is putting out to 7.2 via the receiver. Some stuff functions through surround perfectly (such as flies, owls, and ambient noises) and others just are put out through all channels (such as zombies, gun fire, and water splashing).

 

Any tips for better directional sound or receiver setting is much appreciated in advance!

Idk. I use headphones. *PRO TIP*  get a few people to hold your speakers and have them constantly move around while you play for a more immersive experience. 10 out of 10 best sound experience of 2018. P.S. You might have to whip or yell at them occasionally to get them back in line if they start slacking off.
