New Played HUD Explanation

Hi.  I played this game a long time back when it first entered early access.  I have since returned and am wondering if someone could explain the HUD icons to me.  

I get the Thirst, Hunger and Temperature.  What is the Raindrop shape?

I logged out a day or so back in a barn with all my needs ok.  Logged in today in the same barn, starving, thirsty and the Raindrop flashing.  I was dead within the minute.

How can this happen when I was in a barn? and what could have caused it?

Last two is Blood, Health. I heard there is a known issue that your character can suffer from bleeding when logging in if you had a character already before the update on Thursday.
