Do you leave camp fires lit?

Recommended Posts

I always tend to leave things for survivors behind and camp fires are one of the many things I leave behind.

During the day, I might leave one burning here or there. Especially if I'm not too worried about my position. But at night, they're on, meat is cooked/I'm warmed, and then they're off. Can't risk even a hint of a tracking.

Either way, though, they go out over time, so I'm never too worried that someone would be able to track me for miles.

I always put them out. I'm all for helping others out but I'm pretty wary about attracting attention.

Seeing that they don't last very long at all, the chances that a survivor would "stumble" upon it is minimal :/ Better to put them out so that sniper doesn't get wind.

I never have, no. I assume leaving it lit will give a means to track me, but maybe it doesn't matter.

Was exploring the north east portion of the map all the way by that little bay of water and I was on the west side and saw a boat on the shore across the bay ran all the way over to check out the boat and all I found was a campfire still burning and the boat was gone haha
