Installing mods to server

Hello All,

I'm seeking help in how to install mods to servers. Frequently i see a mod i want, and it has a link called "Server download" so i download the @file now where or rather how and then where do i install the mod to to get it on the server?

For workshop mods they should just install.

For mods you've dl'd from the internet... there should be a tutorial on that site... but you just put it anywhere and then include a path to that mod in the launch options for the server. There is likely also some settings where you can require (or not) the exact same mods to be installed on the client end.
