It's a Windows error, not specific to DayZ.  If you're running Windows 10 then the "Creators Update" (1709) may have mucked things up, have a look here:

Obviously, you're going to follow the same instructions for your

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\DayZ_x64.exe file

If you don't want to watch the whole video, browse to DayZ, right click that file, click properties, go to the Compatibility tab and put a check mark next to "Disable Fullscreen Optimizations".  Click Apply then OK and load 'er up.  GL
