Private Servers

This morning i was playing Dayz with my friend since a long time. Suddenly we got kicked out of the server so we assumed it was a restart, i found on the Dayz twitter that servers were down for an update. So i waited for 2 hours, checked the official website to see the server status ( Online ). But im still not able to find any private server....

I tried restarting steam for Dayz update, did not receive one. What to do?

Public servers are the first to start, so naturally you found them first. Don't hold me on my word, but I think everytime they do maintence, private server owners have to manually turn on servers, so that's why it takes them longer to get back up.
