Someone did it... at last! (THANK YOU post)

Persistent online presence is the game changer, we players tried to bring that simple idea to BIS many years ago, asking for the server ability to remember player data.

I'm happy to see that someone made it happen. The DAYZ gameplay looks much like i wanted to play since the OFP dayz.

So, let me thank you Mr. Hall for what you've made for us. And please don't stop pushing it forward!

The simple and great idea of an online survival action gameplay with an open social behavior is there for quite an amount of time, i personally read it first in "A maze of reflections", 1996 cyber-fiction book (there was a shooter game with a ladder of levels, where players were in a similar "friend-or-foe" situation).

Arma's features almost allowed for something similar. And now it's real. And I hope such games will evolve into something great in future.

We have thirst to explore and discover, communicate, compete and make our own decisions, create and possess. The more these possibilities are developed, the merrier. What moves could be thought of?

Means of storage and trade - another reason for exploring and socializing.

Unique maps, bound to servers and stacked together like checks on a chess-board (you get on another server of you're leaving curent map). So wandering real big distances is possible - isn't that a gameplay on its own? And also, all the players would be virtually in one world! I think such a feature could make another major change of the game, bringing a completely new set of features.

Oh, and detailed cities, wouldn't that be just mind-blowing...

Alright, anyway, this is a big THANK YOU post! :)
