how to upgrade

Recommended Posts

I got a noob question here, It says required 1.60.93825 where the hell do you go to get the upgarde ???. Is there a site or something I did wrong and/or something I didn't do. It won't let me join the server I'm trying to join because of this.

I THINK if you use the six downloader, it'll update your arma II for you to the highest beta. Otherwise, google arma II beta and it's like the first link.

You can download the beta patches here: http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/

You will also need to follow this guide if you are using the Steam copy of Arma II in order to run the beta patch through DayZ: http://southcoastbeanwars.com/day-z-news/how-to-run-arma-2-beta-dayz-in-steam/

I used the six updater once and it screwed everything and I couldn't play, so I don't really recommend the six updater.

The six updater/launcher package is really easy. Install it. Once installed run the launcher..not the updater , select which server you would like to join, click on it, select VERIFY and your version will be updated to whatever the server is running 93685-94209 etc. Hit the JOIN button when you have been updated which will take sfa and voila, you are in game.

When you get out and want to try a different server with a different Beta just repeat..VERIFY and then JOIN.

Piece o piss :)

Don't bother with six updater. People have too many issues with it, and considering how easy and quick it is to get this all installed anyway.... it's just not worth it.

If you need to update your beta patch, just go here (found by searching arma 2 beta patch in google):

http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php/

Download the one you want, unzip, double click the exe and you're done. I am running 965 I think it is, and works fine.
