My character is now in the wilderness with no gear.. he has all of his stats.. (zombie kills, murders etc) but no loot. Awesome!?

Had the guy for days and lost:

NVG's

m16a Acog with lots of ammo

coyote backpack

and a whole heap of tools..

LETS NOT FORGET THE TWO COOKED MEAT AND THE COKE.

I dont mind dieing in a gun fight.. but dieing from the above.. seriously..

If you're careful though you won't die to bugs too often (you have to learn from experience though unfortunately).

I was running around in the woods once and spotted a rabbit. I scoped in on it and all of a sudden my legs broke out from under me. Luckily I had morphine, but when I got up I spotted a second rabbit running towards me.

Just wait until you find a vehicle, I've found 3 and haven't lived longer than 10 minutes after finding them.

A little tip, if you hit a tree at 5mph, get out and sprint away asap. If your lucky you might not die in the fiery explosion. Its actually kinda funny, reminds me of those movie/tv parodies where a bicycle goes off a cliff and explodes in a huge fireball.

I totally agree that it sucks man, but the truth is this is an alpha mod that isn't very old. We really can't rage at the developers, as much as we may want to. Personally, I've decided that in the current state of the mod, it's kinda crazy/masochistic to play ultra-hardcore survivalist. I've spent three days crouchwalking through trees and being extremely careful only to log in in the debug desert. So until the mod is less buggy, I'm just staying in the cities and not expecting to live very long, and just messing around with the game instead of getting intensely invested in it. I kinda think that's what we're supposed to be doing, but when you start playing this game, you can't really help but let it become all-consuming :D

The less attached I become to my gear, the more fun the game gets. Srsly
