Impregnate Crafted Leather Clothes

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I already requested this idea as feature request at the feedback tracker but this might be the better place.

Since the game idea is more a survival game and therefor more such ideas should be considered for release, it might be a good "feature" to allow crafted leather clothes to become water-proof by impregnate them by i.E. Animal-Lard (existing) or beeswax (not yet implemented).

Another idea would be a mix of beeswax and for example paraffin to impregnate and get the leather really dark (this is the real world side-effect when doing this) since coloring the leather with nails and bark doesn't make the leather "black" really. Beeswax and paraffin have to be implemented though or beeswax has to be mixed with animal-lard so the implementation efforts would maybe be lesser.

Since getting wet in the current stable 0.61 can get you killed very fast, it would be a great improvement for the player experience.

Regards

TEC Micha

Water-proofing works both ways.

If you make an article of clothing water-proof, water won't get through from the "outside" (rain), and from the "inside" (It traps sweat)
