Some ideas..

Hello, 

I have two ideas to say before going to sleep, but i dont know if the devs will see my post, i really want them to see this

- First, zombies, i know we will get a dinamic spawn on update 0.61 for the zombies, i am not sure what this means but i want a single thing from this, when i go to loot even a small village, i would love to see there at least 20 zombies.. I mean, we need this, on military bases should be more, like 70 or something.. Right now is just too easy to loot towns, will this dinamic spawn increase the zombie number? If no, then would you kind devs try to increase at least just a bit in numbers of the zombies?

- Second and last cause i couldnt sleep until i write this, this evening i had an encounter in a small town at the police station, i had the izh43 shotgun double barrel i think, i shoot this guy with pristine ammo from like 15-20 meters in front of me right in the cest, after this while bleeding he starts running and i couldnt get him with the second shot... Think about Arma III, if you get shot good, you can barely move after that "slow walk" !! Its not possible to shotgun him from this distance and while bleeding he starts running like normal, like nothing happened.. He should have barely moved after that shot... Could this be implemented ?!?

Just go read some Status Reports to get more info about infected and their dynamic spawning but the gist of it is this: The overall number of zombies probably won't be scaled up until its been proven that the server can handle such a load, but it will SEEM like there are more spawning. Currently, the entire map is populated with infected all at once, meaning there are areas where there are no people with infected spawned, which hogs the server resources. The dynamic part means the zombies won't spawn UNTIL a player enters the area, and they are working on ways to prevent the meta gaming aspect that comes along with that (See an empty town? no players. See zombies from afar just idling there = player in the area)

As far as the shotgun goes, it is one the poorest weapon choices in DayZ standalone in my opinion. As far as I can tell, the best you can hope for with a shotgun is to cause someone to bleed enough that they will eventually pass out. They have announced they are working on wounded animations, though. I haven't tested it, but have been told that its damn near impossible to actually kill anyone with the shotgun. The devs have said that type of balancing will happen during the beta.

Yeah, i understand, i am not saying i should have killed him with the shotgun in one shot, but the thing that bothered me is that he started running just after the shot as like nothing happened, now that is not normal, even if you get shot with a damn poor pistol, you just can't start running like nothing happened... you should move slow (like you sayd, wounded animations)
