Optimal Settings

Recommended Posts

Bought DayZ a while ago but it ran awfully on my PC so deleted it again. I redownloaded this after seeing that they have improved the performance but I cannot find a good balance in my settings. I was running high settings and it was okay but laggy when spinning and under heavy loads, then I lowered it and had better FPS but still a bit jumpy from time to time, then back to high and it ran better than it was on low. Just wanna optimize my settings.

Here are my system specs:

Not great I know but should be sufficient to at least run the game based on recent Youtube videos I've seen.

AMD FX6300 @ 3.5GHz

NVIDIA GTX660 2GB

8GB RAM

Thanks in advance for any response :)

My system is slightly below yours and with the settings below I have fine performance, not sure if these are "optimal" though but my fps is between 27-80.

I have i5 750 @2.6 Ghz, GTX650 Ti Boost 2GB, 8GB RAM

Thanks for the response. Will give these a try later and post my results :)

Tried those settings last night a long with a variation of other settings, still have the same issue. Regardless of what settings I have tried so far(high or low) the game runs well in terms of general frame rate but every minute or so it lags and gets all studdery, anyone got any ideas?
