Dayz sound location

Recommended Posts

So for a while i have been somewhat disturbed by the sound location in my headset. I´ve got a razer kraken pro (2.1) and there is virtual surround in it (i know it works btw ;) ) however, if i hear a zombie for examlpe he is to my left and ofcourse i turn to get a better location of where he is but the whole sound "animation" still plays in my left ear and then when the zombie growls again in front of me it is in front of me but again if i turn my character around the sound is still in front of me. it´s the same with thunder btw. dont know if this is a bug or if thats how the sound is in dayz atm, just wondering if its just me and if there is a way to fix it :D thanks in advance :*

I noticed the same issue, the Z's growling seems to come from too far, too close, left, right. Is extremely difficult for me to understand the Z position from the sound he makes.

I suppose this could be a bug, the other sounds are more defined and clear and allows some speculation about direction and distance of the source.

no i can hear where they are but the sound location doesnt seem to update until the whole sound "animation" is done and the new animation sound comes
