Switching characters?

My friends and I tend to jump server to server depending on how we need to meet up after we die and were a bit new still so we aren't too good with encounters but whenever we swapped to a lower population server my friends spawned where they were supposed to be while my character reset, when I went back to the previous server my character was back to normal with all of my gear... Is there a fix to this or am I doomed to swapping characters

This happens with every other server, I just basically create a new character and then swapping back to the old one brings my older characters back so I have to stay in the same one for now?

Are you and your friends jumping to the exact same server?  If not you may be jumping onto either a private hive server or a glitched server that's not connecting to the hive.

I'd agree except I've connected to around 5 different servers and they've all reset you could be right but idk
