Can't play day Z at all, need help!

I have Arma 2 and Arma 2 : OA i downloaded the Day z files thru Six Updater and even manualy,i folowed PC gamer's guide how to install everything properly i also added "-mod=@dayz -nosplash" in the launch options of Arma 2 : OA and yes i did start the game as Arma 2 Combined Operations but the mod still doesn't work. I always get these 2 messages

Can anyone help me out with this ?

I got the mod to work, somewhat. Day z only works for me when i use the six launcher, if i use steam or the six updaters i cannot play the game at all. Problem is now, battleye keeps kicking me out of games becuse apparently i have an 'unknown' version of the game

I have the same problem! I get the same message (message 2) and i don't know, what I am supposed to do. I bought Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA not in Steam (I have CD's). Need help. :s

First message is you haven't got the Arma 2 Beta patch installed, check the beta box on six launcher

1st : Installing the beta match made matters ever worser

2nd : i allready did a manual instalation once and i still get that error if i try to join a server using the regular game and not six launcher

Same here, since I restored it from steam back up. I only can join servers in debug plains, with out starvation or need to drink. In fact I´m unable to manage my gear either.

I tried reinstall the whole game, the mod, with six launcher and with out it. Any ideas?.

When I go to arma2.com, the site changes so takeonhelicopter.com . So I can't download the patch...

copy your "Addons" folder from the Arma II folder to the Arma II : Operation Arrowhead folder

copy you "@Dayz" folder from Arma II : Operation Arrowhead folder to the Arma II folder

use six updater, six launcher (to update and launch)

Yeah I have done everything they have said here as well and I still cant play... The problem I get is it gets to a loading screen when im connecting to a server and it just hangs for hours... I havent even been asked about my character yet or anything. I have reloaded my pc and reinstalled 4 times already and have tried pretty much everything I can find... anyone got any ideas?

I've got the same problem and call myself an experienced user, so please don't answer with "install the beta patch".

I suffered from the "invisible man" bug after closing DayZ while being unconscious. While suffering from that bug, I had the "bad version" alert when trying to get on a "normal" server, but sometimes it still did work.

Now that I have actually fixed the invisible&invincible bug, I am not able to enter ANY server if I don't use Sixupdater or -launcher, and I refuse to be happy with this because it tages ages to verify my beta version (that might be a hint for what the problem is, eh?).

So what I did to solve this problem:

I reinstalled every patch and update someone has to install when he wants to play DayZ and bought a copy of Arma II and Arma II: OA at the store on a DISK (I don't use the steam version).

I reinstalled DayZ, and deleted everything in the @DayZ folder in the "Programs"-directory that was not there after a fresh and unused DayZ installation.

Just to go sure, I got myself a new shortcut to ArmaII: OA and edited the target properly.

I then started SixUpdater and updated my version of DayZ/Arma II (I had to do this after my very first installation, too, because it didn't work when just installing the 1.60 arma update and the 9444 beta patch).

After updating, I re-downloaded the latest version of Battleye and "installed" it, too.

Didn't work.

Just to remind you, it does work when being started with Sixlauncher or -updater.

On the starting screen of ArmaII, there are diffrent things displayed when starting with either six-software or with the shortcut:

When using the shortcut, it says "@dayz" in the upper right corner.

When using six-software, it says:

"expansion

@dayz

beta"

So, does anyone think he/she can help us?
