Dayz crashing

Heyo guys!
My DayZ hasn't been working for a while now. When I start the game and come to the menu, my connection crashes (Atleast it looks like that since my skype calls disconnect) and then everything freezes. I can't even quit dayz, I'm forced to log out of my pc or restart it.
I even tried to re-download the game, and I even checked if I need updates. Nothing seems to help.
And the troubleshooter doesn't seem to work.
Any help would be appriciated, cheers!

One thing to check (not necessarily connection related) is to remove any game startup parameters.

Many of the old FPS Performance tweaks adjusted those parameters but now most of them are outdated and have been known to cause problems.

Go to your Steam Library > right-click DayZ > click Properties > click Set Launch Options > (remove everything)

[edit]  These settings are saved in Steam, not Dayz, so uninstalling, re-downloading and reinstalling Dayz doesn't remove these settings, they must be changed manually.
