Hi all, Superbambi here and I'm here to inform you that Pitygaming has relaunched our servers, we have a Overpoch Chernaurus server and a Taviana Overpochins Server.

Rules

BREAKING ANY OF THE RULES OR SUB-RULES THAT ARE HIGHLIGHTED RED IN THIS THREAD WILL RESULT IN A PERMANENT BAN UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE IN THE LISTED RULE(S)!!
PUNISHMENTS FOR BREAKING ANY OF THE RULES OR SUB-RULES HIGHLIGHTED IN ORANGE ARE BASED ON A 5 STRIKE SYSTEM

1 Strike= Kick from the server you broke the rule on.
2 Strikes= 1 Day BAN (24 hour ban) from all of our (ArmA 2) DayZ Mod servers.
3 Strikes= 1 Week BAN (7 Day/172 hour ban) from all of our (ArmA 2) DayZ Mod servers.
4 Strikes= 2 Week BAN (14 Day/344 hour ban) from all of our (ArmA 2) DayZ Mod servers.
5 Strikes= Permanent BAN (PERMANENT/FOREVER/ETERNAL) from all of our (ArmA 2) DayZ Mod servers.
You probably wont get a permanent ban if you dont deserve it (i.e. accidental rule breakage because the new rule was added 1 day ago and a notice was not posted) you would have to be doing something very stupid/annoying to get a permanent ban from a yellow rule, but this is a case by case basis.

STRIKE EXPIRATION INFORMATION:
UNLESS you have the max amount of strikes (5 strikes/permanent ban), 1 Strike will expire every 2 weeks you go without gaining a/another strike.

 

[Section 1 General/Basic/Global Server Rules]
Global means most rules in the section are also rules on all servers.
 

[1]: NO HACKING,CHEATING and/or SCRIPTING!!

[1B]: Hacking/Cheating is not tolerated on any circumstance on any of our servers EVER, doing so will result in a permanent ban and if theres solid proof of you doing this any ban appeals will be denied and you,your cd key and your IP address as well as any other known information will be reported to public arma 2 ban databases around the web.

[2]: NO INTENTIONAL* DUPING (duplicating) and/or USING EXPLOITS(Using exploitations/exploits).
[2B]: If you log out, get disconnected or the server restarts near another player your backpack/inventory contents may be wiped. It it very important you do not log out next to another player or be near another player at restart. This is to prevent item duping/cheating.

[2C]: INTENTIONAL* is applied if/when a admin finds proof of more than 1 duplication attempt and/or someone reports you with valid evidence and/or a admin sees you duplicate.

[3]: All though swearing is allowed, racist comments and/or real life threats are not allowed and will result in a ban.
[3B]: Any player deemed by the admins to be overly abusive or making real life threats will be temporarily or most likely permanently banned. This also applies to any players/community members abusing players via Teamspeak, social media or by other contact methods away from Pity Gaming (as long as its related to pity gaming i.e. not some random out of nowhere saying this person who none has seen before is abusing him).

[3C]: Players imitating other players and admins in a manner that is deemed more than just fun trolling will be requested to stop and temporarily banned if they continue.

[4]: No voice chat inside/global channel - You will be auto kicked from the game.
[4B]: English only in side channel chat. You're welcome to use other languages in vehicle and/or direct chat but you will be kicked for cyrillic or non English characters in any channel.

[4C]: Breaking rules {Section 1:4 and/or 4B} multiple times in a small timespan will result in a temporary ban/1 strike.

 

[5]: No advertising , phishing and/or malicious urls.
[5B]: No advertising other gaming community/clan/guild websites and/or servers, Pity Gaming admins WILL mention the helpful gaming communities that help us fix problems/collaborate with us.
[5C]: No posting any malicious/phishing urls that lead to scams, account stealers,computer virus etc.
[5C-B]: Example of links that ARE NOT malicious: ebay.com , youtube.com , amazon.com , pcpartpicker.com , steampowered.com , steamcommunity.com (<Triple check to make sure the steam urls to make sure there official Valve corp. (steam) links as some websites can look like they are but have a spelling error like l instead of I>)

[5C-C]: Example of links that ARE malicious and dangerous: any torr websites , lemon party.com , porn***.com etc , torrent links , any adf.ly links.

 

[6]: No squad.xml (s) - Guild/clan url links on your profile.

[6B]: Please no squad.xml links in your profile as this can easily cause lag,desync etc. because your game client constantly calls on the server to go retrieve it every 5 seconds or so which obviously can cause connection/lag issues if lots of players do this.
 

[Section 2 Building Restrictions & DayZ OverPoch Rules]

 

[1]: No blocking/obstructing roads and/or common loot locations with buildables and/or vehicles.
[1B]: You are not allowed to block off barracks, bridges, roads, hospitals, fire stations, supermarkets and/or any military/high industrial loot spawn buildings with bases. If you built something in one of those areas they will be removed. So make sure you move your base if you have (a) base(s) on/in any of those areas/buildings.

         [1B-B]: Plot Poles must be visible/accessible when building a base. Placing them inside a wall/safe/underground or in any ingame map object which makes it un-accessible are not allowed. If you want to protect your Plot Pole, wall it in, in a secured room.

                  [1B-C]: No building/placing objects just outside the god mode trader zones to the point that they can be accessed from inside the zone.

       [1C]: First you will be asked to remove the obstructing base(s)/object(s) and if you don't remove them within a few days of being asked a admin will have to delete the offending base(s)/object(s) without a refund of the  object(s)/buildable(s).

        [1C-B]: If you keep on purposely breaking any of these rules often after you've been told not to, then you will be given a strike for the yellow offence/punishment system.

[2]: No hiding, killing, ramming, griefing, building in and/or shooting out of/in too safe zones.
[2B]: No ramming of vehicles or players in trader areas/safe zones, when nearing the trader in a vehicle, slow down to 25 km/h on approach as there is a 25 km/h speed limit in place, if you drive fast into the trader zone the speed limiter may bounce you backwards.

[2B-B]: Do not purposely leave your vehicle(s) in trader safe zones for long periods of time (i.e. because your afraid of your vehicle(s) being destroyed) any vehicles left in a trader safe zone will be unlocked or deleted on server restart!

[2C]: Do not shoot into the trader areas/safe zones from outside of them and do not shoot out of trader areas/safe zones from inside the trader areas/safe zones
[2D]: Do not hide in the safe zones to abuse them/be invincible (i.e. someone's chasing you trying to kill you and you go into the trader safe zone so you can't be killed and you wait till the purser is gone to leave the safe zone).

[2E]: Players who are seen to be always attempting to steal and be a nuisance (griefing) at trader zones often, will be punished.

 





 

No callouts of killers location in side chat if you get killed.

 

Do not ask for an admin to kill you if you don't like your spawn, if you're stuck in someones base or for any reason.

Desync or Lag? Relog or check the player list for players with less than 100 bandwidth and ask them to politely leave the server, if an admin sees you online with sub 100 you will be banned for 24 hours

Admins play on the server, we don't use Admin tools when playing. If you kill one, you'll find loot and gold on our bodies. Accusations of "admin abuse" will not be tolerated.

Our server is popular with streamers, anyone found to be abusing streams to kill players, known as "stream sniping" will be dealt with as per our usual banning protocol





If you suspect someone is breaking the rules, find an admin on TeamSpeak if they're not busy or post here on the forums in the ban request section.

Because we don't have admin reserved slots due to side chat spam, sometimes those in the lobby may be kicked to make room for an admin.

There is a debug monitor (press end to close it) for players to use with useful information.

Be careful at trader cities, we give god mode to players for the purpose of trading, these are not "open safe zones to be at when your afk etc" they are there to protect you when trading, not to protect you when entering or exiting the trader area. If you're in a vehicle your god mode is disabled when entering the god mode area.

Important note: There is a chance that if you leave a helicopter or vehicle on a metal or wood floor that is not at ground level, when the server restarts it can destroy that vehicle. If the ground isn't completely level there, you may lose your vehicle on a restart as vehicles will often shift. Walls can sometimes rotate a bit when spawning in at restart, if a vehicle spawns first - then walls, that wall may destroy the vehicle, you need to leave at least double the area around a vehicle for it to be "safe"

Also, since Epoch 1.0.5 it has taken a longer time than usual when purchasing vehicles, they also spawn in unlocked, please wait a few moments before trying to enter, after getting the "unlock vehicle?" notification.

Gold coins (no global banking defeats the purpose of a survival game) Multiplier how much money an object can hold. This number X ammount of magazines it can hold. ( so URAL -> 500 items * 1000 = 5 MIL cash).

remove objects and vehicles that havent been touched in 14 dayz
if a locked vehicles key isnt found anywhere in the server then it unlocks that vehicle next restart
dead bodys are removed every restart (if you die make sure to respawn shortly to avoid loosing humanity)
old characters who havent logged in for more then 21 days will be deleted
base decaying starts happening in 6-9 dayz and will disappear after 15 dayz if it hasn't been maintained
