thedoctorlome1 6 Posted February 19, 2016 Try using the new ui, but other than that wait for the new renderer to come out.

Guest Posted February 19, 2016 I'm currently running a FX-8350 3.5ghz, 16gb ram, paired with a R9 390 on a SSD and frames have not been great but better since the new UI came out. Before the new UI, was getting about 15-30fps in big cities (elektro/cherno/bere) and about 45-60fps in wooded areas. Now getting about 25-40fps in major cities and 60+ in woods. My buddy runs a 2500k with a 970 and he's been getting a good 35-50fps in cities and 60+ in woods play. This game favors intel CPUs for sure.

I got my PC for $400, and it's an i5 with an integrated GPU. I run it fine on normal settings (just dont go to best buy pls)

The majority of games wont even use 4GB, but considering you arent extremely good on managing RAM usage... definitely go for 8GB. 8GB is about standard for today's gaming. If you're looking for a budget build for DayZ performance, then go with an I3 intel processor or a highly overclocked G3258. Intel averages more FPS then amd does for DayZ. Stronger core performance is also better for MMO-type games and older games. That graphics card is more than enough for medium/med-high 1080p playing. I use it so I know; usage never caps out when playing on med-high 1080p with most extra effects off.
Guest Posted February 21, 2016 oh ok. thanks man. yeah ive noticed alot of streamers run intel. i just heard that amd usually runs cheaper. i really just want to run dayz standalone at a decent fps for the very bottom dollar. im a gun guy, id rather send my money on guns but i just love dayz so much. lmfao
