FPS issues

Recommended Posts

Hey. So I recently tried playing DayZ again with a different computer thinking my frames would be better. The problem is that they're even worse. I get 30 FPS no matter what the settings are. ~30 FPS in towns and ~50 in the middle of nowhere on max and minimum settings. What can I do?

Specs:

Windows 10 64bit

MSI AMD R9 930 (8GB)

Intel Core i5 4460 3.20 GHz

8 GB ram

I get about 100 FPS playing Witcher 3 on high settings. Honestly dont know how I can't get over 30 in towns in DayZ. Any help would be appreciated.

I do, its not finished yet. Most of us only get 20-30 in town, and sometimes 45+ depending on the settings.

Once they are finished i believe it will be optimized.

be glad you have 30 fps, in towns i am glad if i can get 20

it makes the game extremely un-enjoyable for me sadly, even now that zombies are back and cars are in the game

i hope they get to optimization soon, but i won't get my hopes up

looking at titles like MGS 5, where i can play a game in amazing graphics quality on 60 fps at every time, and then looking at DayZ,

i really doubt i'll ever be able to play DayZ in good quality with good performance

even with everything on the lowest possible setting i never get more then 15 fps in cherno,

and i don't feel like buying 300€ worth of hardware JUST for DayZ to run with 10 fps more, because all other games are fine

yes, i get that other software developers may have more staff, more resources etc., and this is not cirticizing the poor devs that are stuck with the engine Bohemia gave them,

and this is also not a complaint, i'm just sad i can't play DayZ without getting a headache or getting red eyes after half an hour

As above - all you can really do is wait until the game is in a more finished state and the performance issues (both server and client side) are ironed out.
