haywardgb 129 Posted January 14, 2016 (edited) ADDED (BETA): Factions.... New players can now choose which faction they want to work towards, Hero or Bandit. Choosing either faction will give you negative or positive humanity for zed kills etc, so Hero faction = positive humanity, Bandit faction = negative humanity. You get it right? This doesn't mean you get access to Hero or Bandit traders though, you will still need to reach those required humanity levels. Choose wisely , as you won't get a chance to choose again. Once you go bandit, you stay bandit (probably) :P We hope this will make it easier for players who want to be a bandit but can't seem to find the players to kill right now :P Edited January 14, 2016 by urbanskaters
haywardgb 129 Posted January 16, 2016 CHANGED: We've changed the bandit humanity requirements from -5000k for level 1 , to 0k .This means both Hero and Bandit work to the same number of points of 2500 for level 1, then same for 2 , 3 and 4 etc.. I've updated the first post to reflect this change ....

haywardgb 129 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) The factions system now works perfectly ... If you choose to be part of the hero faction then all mission AI and Zed kills will give you plus humanity (this is the default anyway). If you choose to be part of the bandit faction then all mission AI and Zed kills will give you negative humanity. Regardless of which faction you choose, killing non npc (human players) bandits will give you plus humanity and killing non npc heros or survivors will give you negative humanity. If you are already a hero or bandit on our server, then you're already in that faction and don't need to do anything (if you became a hero out of circumstance and want to be a bandit, speak to an admin and we'll swap you over. not for new players!). If you are new to the server you will see a set of dog tags in your inventory, right mouse click these and click the "readme first" option, then choose your faction (you only get to choose once , so choose wisely). Regardless of which faction you choose, once you hit level 1 hero or bandit, you will automatically be placed in that faction (so you can't choose to be in the bandit faction while also being a hero level 1 for example). Getting to hero from bandit will take a lot of killing your own faction and blood bagging etc, while getting to bandit from Hero will also mean quite literally turning bandit on your own kind too.. I think you can figure the rest out. Please ask here if you have any questions :) EDIT: I must make it clear that choosing your faction does not grant you access to the Hero and Bandit traders. You will still need to work up to level 1 for that :p Edited January 18, 2016 by urbanskaters

haywardgb 129 Posted January 19, 2016 (edited) Great news everybody :) I've just added a feature that gives your plot pole friends access to your origin buildings. This is a great feature for clans and small groups of friends who just want to share one origin property for example. Or use the combined properties of all your clan members to create your own private village :) ... Also, due to a bug in Epoch that prevents players from opening the doors of the Land_MBG_Police_Station and Land_MBG_Shanty_BIG, I've made it that so long as you have a plot pole nearby, you can claim that building as your own (and thus open and close the doors). Simply place the plot pole, open the door, remove the plot pole and put it inside (of course), then add yourself to the plot friends list and it's yours. Or at least until Epoch fix the bug, but you could always just board up the entrance with an epoch door for added security.. haywardgb 129 Posted January 20, 2016 (edited) FIXED: Gear now saves properly in Origins buildings .I still highly recommend you put your important stuff like money and weapons into a safe or vehicle locked inside a garage! I've been saving and using gear in my origins house and 2 garages for the past week with no loss of gear or known issues. So far, so good :) Edited January 20, 2016 by urbanskaters
haywardgb 129 Posted January 22, 2016 (edited) Great news everybody :) We've replaced the roaming AI foot patrols with vehicle patrols. This will make it easier for you to, well, hear them coming. I've tested them out and unless you actually stop to fight , they're easy enough to escape and evade. Remember that roaming AI kills count as normal bandit kills, which means you'll get plus humanity. You can loot the dead bodies, but you can't take the vehicle :P Also more great news everybody :) Any new players joining this weekend will receive a free safe, plot pole, map, toolbox, etool, crowbar and 2 briefcases of gold (on request).EDIT: If nobody is on to give you your free stuff, leave a note here and an admin should be on soon to get you kitted out! Happy happy joy joy happy happy times :D Edited January 22, 2016 by urbanskaters
