sneakydudes 278 Posted November 21, 2015 (edited) So i had a chance to test out an older s1155 i7 cpu, 16gb memory, asus pro board, 1tb wd blue, stock cooler. I had a 520ti card in it and it was giving me on its best day 10-28 fps and it was so laggy. So i went out and purchased another card for this machine. It was the new gtx960 SC 4gb card.I was getting 100+ fps look at the water, and from 45 to 80 looking and running through towns and Zel.Dayz i tweaked and tested a new FXAA on normal. Seemed to give me more FPS then before. But most of all i have ran the Booster from Razor, called Razer Cortex http://www.razerzone.com/cortex It frees up some resources in your windows 7 64 bit, not that it does a huge amount but some actually may see improvements. But most of all i wanted to say this card worked very well on the older i7 cpu from ASUS gtx960 SC 4gb card. price CDN was 329 ish Worth it compared to my EVGA 780ti SC 3 gb card thats still ranked 2-3 card over all for 900ish bucks 2 years ago. 780ti still gives me massive FPS, and performs well.I hope that gives you some insides to help give you better performance for your tower. Sneaky Any other questions? ill offer up some suggestions or settings to try. Otherwise do try tweak guides too. sneakydudes 278 Posted November 24, 2015 Testing with tons more hours, showing it to be solid fps card at a fraction of the costs to my expensive card. Well worth looking into if you need to upgrade. Remember most Nvidia cards dont require a huge power supply like ATI Radeon does. Sometimes ATI cards come at a fraction of the $$ then you find out i need to buy a 750watt or higher supply. Its a trade off. Would i do it again? heck yeah i would buy this card again and again 80 fps+ to a solid 45 in cities. Unless there is something wrong with the city, where as even the best card caches out at 16fps <------- Serious... not all the time but sometimes.
