bennyandthejets 12 Posted July 3, 2012 Currently zombies are not imposing enough. It is the #1 reason why griefing has escalated as high as it is. Players are bored. Once you have your loadout, adequate medical supplies/food/water there is no incentive to do anything outside of camp high grade military spawns & kill other players.Zombies need to increase in number, occasionally drop excellent loot to give players a incentive to kill them, occasionally spawn randomly in the forest, have greater attraction to bandits (As result of loss of humanity) or players killed need to become zombies with ability to attract additional zombies/infect/cripple players. New dynamics need to be added. In their current form they appear to be a afterthought. The reason players kill on sight/grief is because they can survive alone. The only way that will change is if the environment becomes more deadly & they must rely on others to survive.
EnermaX 59 Posted July 3, 2012 Isn't that a suggestion?
hallgraeme 17 Posted July 3, 2012 Could not agree more.Hordes of Zombies in Woods, fields etc. So you just cannot sprint from town to town without worrying about what you run into.
Superior 9 Posted July 3, 2012 Yes indeed. Zombies need to be more rewarding and intimidating. Currently there's not really a reason for somebody not to shoot at sight. Perhaps implement something that would require you to group up with people to complete certain tasks that involves zombies. Right now they're literally sitting ducks and there's no fun in killing them.Only time they're a real pain in the ass is when they bug out and attacks through walls or cloth line you and knock you unconscious.Cheers. lvg 1690 Posted July 3, 2012 Moved to suggestions.Did you know that this MOD is in Alpha? And that it takes time to create balance, when there are already so many outstanding things that need attention..
leo235 2 Posted July 3, 2012 still zombies should be subject to more change. They are likely going to be a key feature of the game.can you localize them so that there are loads of slow zombies in electro and cherno and faster ones outside?Just try more shit with them. Have a zombie-week, where theyre fast on monday, superfast on tuesday can fly on wednesday, shoot you with a slowing shot on thursday are slow on friday and dont exist in cities on saturday. Then take a break on sunday and see if what you did was good. Officious (DayZ) 4 Posted July 4, 2012 have greater attraction to bandits (As result of loss of humanity) This would be sick; a great and subtle way to attract zombies to campers killing people.
LoG Steppenwolf 4 Posted July 4, 2012 I think on the spawn places, the number etc of zeds should stay as it is. Because at the beginning they´re quite dangerous. But in the cities and where the high military stuff is, or simply everywhere, where good loot is, there should be tons of aggressive Zeds.
