MadMcardle 175 Posted October 19, 2015 I came across a server that is recording and displaying peoples kills and deaths, some people are saying that it is against the rules, is that true? Personally I think it is a cool feature for a community, if it is not against the rules, can someone tell me how it's done? Thanks Mad
SmashT 10907 Posted October 19, 2015 Would be against the rules. Unacceptable usage of DayZ Servers (Also known as the “Don’t” list) Use Admin Logs for any purpose other than server rule enforcement/protection
MadMcardle 175 Posted October 19, 2015 I'm confused as it seems a popular feature on this server, and has been going for a while now. What about if you got the players to agree to it first, like on a private community server, would that still be against the rules?

As mentioned, the admins are only allowed access to the admin/BEC logs for banning/rule enforcement purposes.

Valdenburg 200 Posted October 19, 2015 (edited) That's a shame. Thanks for the swift response though man :)Direct display of kills is not allowed. What can be done is giving your players certain badges that indicate how many they killed ;) EDIT: when these badges are part of your server rules ofc :D Edited October 19, 2015 by VanValdenburg
